The training focuses on youth getting from appropriate system stakeholders the support, knowledge and tools needed to make healthy long­term decisions regarding sex and reproduction. The Toolkit includes judicial practice designed by judges, including bench tools and foundational information for a court-based collaborative initiative on reducing pregnancy among foster youth. Easily incorporated with existing bench books and bench tools, the Toolkit will help judges and attorney empower foster youth to make choices which delay pregnancy by giving judges and child welfare stakeholders tools and strategies to support foster youth empowerment.

The training will be held January 24, 2017 with two alternative sessions: 8am-noon OR 1-5pm (a repeat of the morning session) at Dell Children’s Medical Center, 4900 Mueller Boulevard, Austin, TX  78723.  Please ONLY register for EITHER the 8-12 session OR the 1-5 session but not both sessions (as the second session will be a repeat of the first).  This training is FREE and Registration is available on a first-come basis, but limited to 25 persons per session, so please do not wait to register!
